My Review of 5X Rock Shoe

Mountain Gear

Take a basic slipper and amp it up with five times the advantages of your basic climbing shoe and you get Five Ten's 5X. You won't want for extra features in this lined leather shoe with ultra sticky Stealth C4 rubber soles, fish-hook midsoles, down-turned toes for superior edging, ...

The Zlip

G Boulder, CO 4/30/2009

4 5

Sizing: Feels half size too small

Width: Feels true to width

Pros: Comfortable, Versatile

Cons: Green Feet

Best Uses: Long Climbs, Indoor, Outdoor, Bouldering

If you liked the zlipper, you'll love the new one - improved heel cup and the same precision edging the zlipper was the best for.

The Start

Begin listening to '1901' by Phoenix now ---->>>

So I'm gonna start.

I'm gonna start to try and tell my life to others.

To tell you, whoever you are reading this (hopefully you'll be following me), about my accomplishments, my disappointments, my adventures, my random thoughts, my advice, or whatever else I can figure might have some benefit to someone out there; or might inspire someone to do something great.

At the moment, I feel pretty inspired. I feel like I'm leading the life I want to live and am enjoying every minute of every day. I meet tons of new people every day, and travel to parts of the world that many people will never see...

And in this, I feel like I am part of something special. Part of a community and lifestyle that has really been one of the only things to capture my attention so completely. I love every facet of my sport and want it to be a part of my life to the day that I die.

I am opinionated, and my opinion is that one learns best through life experiences, and I intend on experiencing as much of life as I possibly can. For the wisest man I know once told me that, "There are no truths."

...Which really leads me to one conclusion, a bit of a bittersweet one to better define it - we can't ever know everything with our finite time here on Earth so we must live life to its fullest every day. I look forward to each new day with optimism and hope that each experience will bring with it something fresh and exciting.

NO things last... Time waits for no one. And once more people start to really allow themselves to fully take that in, I think they would realize that loving everything and everyone is a far better approach than the opposite.

Take it all in. Enjoy.

Here's twelve photos from my last twelve months, since we have to know where we came from to know where we're going:

And now listen to that song again - because I know you know it didn't last long enough ;-)
